Mr. Nebeolisa Anako
Nebeolisa Anako was born on 5th August. He has a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng. Hons.) Degree in Civil Engineering (1986) from the Anambra State University of Technology, Enugu, and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) Degree (1989) in Construction Management from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
After a stint in Consultancy and as Construction Project Engineer, he joined the Federal Civil Service as an Executive Engineer Grade 1with the Federal Highways Department of the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing in August 1989; and rose through the ranks to the position of Director, Federal Highways Design (Roads); and later, the Director Bridge Construction overseeing the Construction of all Federal Highways Bridges in the Country.
Mr. Anako was the Technical Assistant to the Hon. Minister of Works & Housing, and also Member/ Secretary of Engineering Management Team (EMT), a Presidential team saddled with the responsibility for monitoring and reporting on all Federal Highway projects during the period 1999 - 2002. He authored and delivered several Conferences/ Workshops/Seminar/Papers as well as, newspaper writings. He later received a Ministerial award of commendation of Service.
He was appointed Federal Permanent Secretary in December 2019, and has served in that capacity at the Police Service Commission, Federal Ministry of information and Culture, Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, and now Federal Ministry of Power.
He is a Registered Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE). He is married, with children.
